LEAL & SOARES, SA, founded in 1990, employs around 130 workers in Portugal and stands out for its dynamism and commitment to innovation.

Initially dedicated to sawing, processing, and enhancing wood, the company began an internationalization strategy that prioritized the English market, consolidating its export vocation.

With a trajectory marked by growth and adaptability, it diversified its operations back in the 1990s, focusing on the transformation and enhancement of pine bark for composting and decorative applications. This vision culminated in 2002 with direct investment in LEAL & SOARES ESPAÑA, SL, strengthening its international presence.

Over the years, the experience gained allowed the company to expand its activities into forest biomass composting, focusing on the production of substrates and organic compounds. This business area quickly gained relevance through the brand SIRO®, which secured leadership in the hobby segment and consolidated a prominent position in the professional segment. Currently, the company’s portfolio also includes the brands ORIS® and ECOGROW®.
